In Brown County alone, 13.6% of children are receiving special education services in school. Many of these children are on waitlists for external services or don’t meet the specific requirements that agencies have in place. In the short time Counting Stars has been open, we have welcomed more than 80 families into our village, and it continues to grow daily.  At Counting Stars, we offer comprehensive wrap-around services that include collaboration with school teams, IEP advocacy, in-home and community support through 1:1 caregiver training, 1:1 in-home daily living skills for our children, family engagement resources, and career support to enhance social and job skills, all tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family we serve.

Counting Stars is a non-profit agency committed to fostering inclusivity and breaking down barriers for children with disabilities and their families to receive the support they so desperately need and deserve. We believe in celebrating each person's unique strengths and advocating for true inclusion in our community. With the support of our community, our nonprofit agency has been able to offer children and their families numerous transformative experiences, from swimming and kayaking to exploring museums and movie theaters, career shadow experiences and so much more, all while ensuring they receive the essential resources and support in their homes, schools, and community, embodying our deep commitment to being a part of their village as a whole.
