One major problem is that children and adults with disabilities don’t have the same access or opportunities to education, community events and activities, and employment as people without disabilities. Families don’t always have the knowledge or resources to confidently advocate for all of the support and experiences needed for people with disabilities to lead full and meaningful lives.
Counting Stars, Inc. will work tirelessly to decrease barriers that hinder inclusiveness in all aspects of life. Counting Stars, Inc. believes that people labeled as challenged aren’t just a number or someone who needs to be taken care of but a human being with interests, preferences, self-worth, and the desire to be loved. By providing education and resources, and building relationships amongst community members, Counting Stars, Inc. fights for true inclusion in our county, our state, and our country.
In leasing space from the YWCA in downtown Green Bay, we are becoming a part of their mission and vision, their passion for ending racism and empowering women. This partnership is new and exciting and will open doors for members of the YWCA and the clients of Counting Stars. We are excited to access the following spaces to increase inclusive opportunities for our children and their entire families.

- Therapy Pool that is accessible for all and locker rooms
- Large gymnasium to practice social skills and exercise
- 3 fitness rooms with work out equipment and areas for yoga or other classes
